Asahi originates from Japan and dates back to 1987. At that time, a team of brewmasters came up with the plan to brew a beer with an intensely dry character. Behind this idea was their love of sake: This alcoholic drink is made from rice and - much like beer - goes through a brewing process that involves multi-stage fermentation. Sake can be drunk cold or hot and is characterized by its noble dryness. On March 17, 1987, the first Super Dry Lager saw the light of day and set new standards. Asahi wanted to create an extra-dry beer with a crisp, fresh aroma and straightforward character that leads to a short, meaningful finish. They succeeded in this mission withAsahi Super Dry . Within a very short time, their work established itself on the Japanese market and gathered countless enthusiastic followers. Thanks to its clear flavor profile and famous dryness, the lager is a perfect complement to minimalist Japanese cuisine and tastes wonderful with fish, vegetables and rice dishes. The pursuit of perfection

The dry brew is still brewed according to the original recipe today, but the brewmasters are not averse to progress and constant improvement. Today, the beer is no longer brewed only in Asia, but at various locations in order to avoid long transport routes and to be able to offer customers the freshest product possible.
