Everyone knows Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but it's Pierre, Chris and their seven goblins that you should know! At least if you like drinking craft beer from Belgium.
From mother-in-law’s garage into the world
Pierre and Chris are brothers-in-law and share a common passion: beer. At the end of the 1970s, the two of them scraped together all their savings to buy a small brewing system for the garage. The first 50 liters of beer were brewed in the 1980s, and Pierre and Chris were hooked. They weren't the only ones who liked the home-brewed beer, so in 1986 they founded their own brewery and plunged into the beer business full-time. Always by their side are the goblins, who symbolize the beers from D'Achouffe and are typical of the region where Chris and Pierre live. Mythical creatures of all kinds feel at home in the mystical landscape of the Ardennes and are the protagonists of countless legends and sagas. A goblin also adorns the logo of the Brasserie D'Achouffe. Rumour has it that Chris and Pierre have found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, but we believe their great success is simply down to their excellent beers. The two Belgians are not only master storytellers, but also master brewers of the highest order.
With a little help from my friends
After Pierre and Chris started to officially brew their beer, the beer world quickly took notice. The microbrewery in their mother-in-law's garage became an internationally sought-after business. Despite all the fame and honor, Pierre and Chris remain down-to-earth and modest: The two are working on reforesting their Belgian homeland and honoring the legends and traditions of their ancestors. With great attention to detail, they have dedicated dwarves to their individual beers, whose stories can be found on the website. Marcel, for example, is the main goblin and always employee of the month at Brasserie D'Achouffe. He rides on the back of a goose to bring people good beer. He promotes the barley juice with a lot of passion and commitment and also likes to dip his beard in a cool glass of Chouffe Soleil. If you work, you can also treat yourself to something - these goblins know how to enjoy life!
