The picturesque village of Grasmannsdorf is located not far from Bamberg in the triangle between Burgebrach, Walsdorf and Frensdorf. Officially, Grasmannsdorf is part of the municipality of Burgebrach and has just under 300 inhabitants. There are no more than a handful of houses and the Chapel of the Holy Trinity to be seen there, but the village is surrounded by idyllic nature and offers its visitors a place to refresh themselves after hikes and bike rides. The Kaiser brewery invites you with a rustic atmosphere and freshly tapped beer.
The brewery was founded almost 250 years ago. At that time, the property belonged to the castle and supplied not only the castle residents but also the surrounding villages with the finest beer. The tradition of home brewing also dates back to this time: anyone who has their own barrel can bring it to the brewery every Tuesday and receive very fresh, young beer, which can then be stored and matured at home in their own cellar. In the past, many breweries maintained this beautiful tradition, but today there are only a few. At Kaiser, their roots are valued and Franconian hospitality is also part of it. In the comfortably furnished inn, you can enjoy the finest beer and matching homemade specialties of the regional cuisine all year round. Festivities and events of all kinds are regularly held in the pretty hall and the shady beer garden is a tempting attraction in summer. In order to meet the demands of modern guests, the brewery not only has its tasty beer on hand, but also charging stations for the batteries of e-bikes.
The highlight of every brewery visit is of course the beer. The brewery brews according to traditional recipes and cultivates the Bavarian art of brewing with dedication and passion. The Kaiser range includes a number of classics, including an excellent Pilsner, a tasty wheat beer, some seasonal specialties and a hearty Urtrunk. In typical Franconian fashion, beer is celebrated on several occasions throughout the year. Lent in spring is ushered in by the tapping of the strong beer, in early summer it continues with a lively wheat beer festival, in August there is a church fair, in all months that contain an "R" there are carp and matching beers and the tapping of the Bock beer in November brings the festival year to a fitting close.
