Franz Xaver Zeller is actually an actor. But the Munich native, known from film, television and theater, has another talent in addition to the performing arts: brewing beer!
One evening, when Franz Xaver was sitting with his friends, the group came up with a big question: which pale ale is the best in Munich? Heads were spinning and opinions were divided. A heated exchange of words ensued, but despite the best will in the world, they could not agree on the tastiest pale ale in Munich. In order to bring peace among his friends and give Munich its best pale ale, Franz Xaver took on the problem. Fortunately, the actor happens to be a trained beer brewer and is therefore exactly the right man to brew a perfect pale ale for Bavaria's capital. Together with his friends, the Munich native took action and quickly founded his own label: Franz Xaver Bier. The brewer's down-to-earth creations can now be enjoyed in all of Munich's trendy bars. Since then, things have been going well again in Franz Xaver's circle of friends and they enjoy drinking a Franz Xaver or two together and discussing more exciting things than the best light beer in Munich.
Following the goal of creating the best pale beer in Munich, the brewer/actor Franz Xaver Zeller came up with an excellent pale beer and aptly named it Franz-Xaver . To give the whole thing an extra portion of sophistication and to honor a dear friend, the pale beer is available in two versions: with Birte on the emblem and with the grinning face of the maker himself on the bottle. Franz Xaver's pale beer is not only characterized by its chic design, but above all by its drinkability. Subtly balanced, it dances on the tongue and delights with its fine mildness. In order to make not only Munich residents and fans of pale beers happy with his creations, Franz Xaver also has a shandy in his range. The Goldene Gerold is just as drinkable as the pale beer and also delights the palate with a wonderful effervescence. Brewing a good shandy is a fine art that Franz Xaver has clearly mastered. His shandy is the perfect refreshment on dry summer days and tastes especially good when you stroll through the English Garden and watch the artistic stunts of the surfers in the ice channel.
