Joe & Seph`s

Popcorn is a sweet or salty delicacy that we usually enjoy at the cinema. Long before you open the doors to the cinema, you can already smell the irresistible aroma of butter and caramelized sugar and it is almost impossible not to buy a bag. In the United States, popcorn developed from cinema food to a general snack years ago. Innovative flavors and varieties mushroomed and filled the supermarket shelves with a variety of options. It would be a while before the trend spread across the pond. The European pioneer in popcorn and a real expert on popped corn is Joe Sopher.

Business trip with consequences

Before Joe became a popcorn gourmet and connoisseur, he had a normal job that took him from his English homeland to faraway America once a year. There he tasted the American version of popcorn for the first time and was amazed by the variety and perfection. From then on, he brought the sweet treat back from his business trips as a souvenir for family and friends. When he brought home almost 25 kilos of popcorn, his family started to wonder. Although popcorn was popular in the UK too, there was little choice and hardly any companies selling ready-made popcorn. Father, mother and son decided to give the idea a chance. They booked a stand at a food fair and offered their first attempts. The American-style popped corn sold like hotcakes and Joe & Seph's was born.

Popcorn from a master hand

A whole range of things make Joe's popcorn so special. A team of pastry chefs developed the recipe and only uses hand-picked varieties of corn with extra-large kernels. The golden little guys are then popped in hot air rather than oil. This gives them the optimal texture and maximum size. The kernels are then flavored with natural ingredients. Joe has developed a special process for this that layers flavor nuances on top of each other. When you enjoy the popcorn, a true world of flavors unfolds that lasts from the first to the last bite. Joe & Seph's offers an incredible variety of varieties and has, for example, a gourmet popcorn with pale ale in its range. Father and son attracted a lot of media attention with their unconventional business idea and have already received numerous awards and accolades for their delicious popcorn.
