Marcel Reimer came up with the idea for designing bottle cap cards while drinking beer: Like many great thinkers, the architecture student was enjoying a cold beer when a brainwave struck him. But first things first. First of all, you have to know that Marcel has a great passion for collecting. The Frankfurt native has been collecting bottle caps for years. He buys beers from all over the world, local classics, special craft beers and examples that are characterized by particularly beautiful bottle caps. This means that Marcel not only gets to enjoy a wide variety of beers, but his collection of different bottle caps is also constantly growing. When collecting, it is important to find new, beautiful examples, but the presentation of the collection also plays a role. Stones are placed in type cases, stamps are carefully sorted into albums and cat figurines are placed on every free space in the apartment - but how do you show off your bottle cap collection? This question didn't leave Marcel alone. His bottle caps were leading a dull existence in a cupboard. A collection is only half as much fun if it is unsorted and unpresented. Marcel thought the same thing and started to tinker. The result of his work was the first bottle cap map : a wooden board with the outline of Germany and holes in which you put the bottle caps.
Marcel was enthusiastic about his invention and, after he had covered his own needs and those of his friends and acquaintances, he did not want to keep it to himself. He quickly set up his own business and sells his bottle cap cards with great success. The 6mm thick wooden panels in the shape of Germany have space for the appropriate presentation of 114 bottle caps and can therefore hold quite a good collection. You can assign the bottle caps to their region, sort them by color or theme. Each card is unique, because all bottle cap collections are different and every collector sorts according to their own rules.
