"Free yourself - drink craft!" is the powerful motto behind Libertus. The Renninger couple brews calm, fine craft beers such as the 3-mal-Hopf IPA under the Libertus Craft Brewing label, thereby taking a firm stand against industrially manufactured mass-produced goods. Quality instead of quantity is Denise's motto - and her David, of course.
Craft beer allows beer drinkers to choose their favorite beverage from a wide range of different beers. But brewers also have more freedom thanks to craft beer: long-forgotten brewing styles and ingredients find their way into breweries. This is also the case at Libertus. David and Denise are not fans of wild experiments, but they appreciate the variety of flavors that are possible in craft beer while complying with the purity law. For them, craft beer does not necessarily mean that wild things like chocolate or goji berries have to go into the kettle. Libertus focuses on the artisanal side of craft beer and brews artistic beers that are characterized by their high quality and cleverly devised recipes.
In Untererthal in Franconia, not far from Hammelburg, the beer specialties from Libertus Craft Brewing are served in the Landgasthof zum Goldenen Kranz. Here, in addition to popular classics such as the Craftoberfest , the Franconian Dark or the Alter Franken, you can also try another of the Renningers' passions: the beer brandies created in collaboration with the Jobst distillery. TheImperial and Hopped Revolution brandies with fine hop and malt notes, which are distilled under the Craftakt Distilling label, are incomparably mild and fruity. Beer and schnapps from one house?
