The young group was founded in 2016 when three friends Tamás, Gergő and Csaba decided to start their own brewery. The aim of the venture was to brew creative and experimental beers with a pinch of madness, while not losing touch with reality. Not crazy for the sake of being crazy, but wacky and still enjoyable. The brewers want to make beer that is appealing and maybe even challenging, while still being drinkable all night long. The three founders manage to pull off this balancing act not least thanks to their motivated and passionate staff. Every single member of their team was hired for their enthusiasm and passion. The brewers firmly believe that motivation beats experience, because with drive and joy you can learn pretty much anything. Supported by good-humored people, Mad Scientist brews a colorful range of different beers. Each one is tailored to the brewers' taste and was only produced because they felt like it. Trends play no role at Mad Scientist; it's more about brewing exactly the beer that the team likes to drink.
With its daily work, the brewery wants to send out positive vibes and reach people. During the pandemic, the group used social media to spread empowering messages and support its community virtually. The beer goes hand in hand with this attitude and is intended to spread positivity and joy. In keeping with their title, the brewers do not shy away from unusual ingredients and make beers that would make any fundamentalist faint. Mad Scientist does not take itself too seriously and produces brews with fun and humor that wonderfully represent their attitude to life. Their concept has earned them a good reputation in the international beer scene: Mad Scientist's creations are drunk all over the world and the brewers have already been guests for collaborations in all corners of the earth.
