Prancing Pony Brewery

If you thought that ponies weren't for men, you haven't met this one yet. The Prancing Pony from Adelaide isn't a horse with short legs, but a seasoned brewery.

Kitchen, barn, brewery

This story begins with a small mishap. One fateful day, homebrewer Frank's brew boiled over. He wasn't standing in his brewery (which didn't even exist back then), but in his wife's kitchen. Corinna was not very happy with the mess Frank had made and promptly threw her husband out of the kitchen. The dismayed brewer had to move into the barn with all his belongings and brewing kettle and continue his brewing project there. Fortunately, Frank doesn't bear a grudge and didn't let the eviction discourage him. He brewed even more beer in the spacious shed than before and continued to delight friends, family and relatives with his creations. While sticking the labels on, the enthusiastic beer fan daydreamed about his own brewery and already had a name: he knew even then that his baby would be called Prancing Pony Brewery. While enjoying Frank's beers, everyone else eventually came to the conclusion that Frank absolutely had to share his beer with the world. The idea for the brewery was born and then things got started.

Beer with values and no frills

Frank set up camp in Adelaide and opened his first brewery in 2012. Two years later, the Prancing Pony Brewery was bursting at the seams and Frank had to move again. Now you can find Frank and his ponies in Totness, a small town southeast of Adelaide. At the new location, Frank was able to really expand and expand his team of motivated and beer-loving ponies. The brewery places great value on community and is proud to be an independent, family-oriented company. For Frank, honesty, transparency and integrity are just as important to good beer as quality raw materials and sophisticated recipes. When it comes to choosing his ingredients, Frank is a traditionalist: he doesn't put any crazy ingredients in his kettle; he relies on the power of hops, malt and yeast. His beers get that little something extra from special hop varieties, unusual malt or the odd innovative brewing technique. Despite, or perhaps thanks to, the classic approach, Frank and the ponies have already impressed countless judges at international competitions and won prestigious awards around the world. It doesn't always have to be a beer with raspberries, cucumbers or cocoa chips.
