Schoppe Bräu

Unusual names are now part of the standard ABC of the modern craft beer brewer. And hey, it's legitimate to have your illustrious range represented by a unique name. The small Schoppe brewery from Germany's colorful capital, however, shows that you can be fancy and still get by without major anglicisms and extravagant neologisms.

Real beer instead of mass-produced goods

Behind the simple name lies a real avant-gardist: Thorsten Schoppe caused a sensation in the beer world years ago and practically helped to launch the craft beer movement. The inspired brewer eventually got fed up with large-scale brewing and thought back to the artisanal roots and the original art of brewing. Kettles instead of computers was the motto that ultimately led Thorsten to start his own thing. Since then, the humorous motto "hops, malt and muscle fat" has been in place, which perfectly describes the small-scale production. Excellent beers are brewed carefully by hand from selected ingredients of the finest quality. Real craftsmanship, authenticity and being rooted in their brewing home are extremely important to the Berliners. Not as important, however, as producing the best beer in the end. Taste is the priority and the ultimate goal is to free beer from the boring shackles of industrial breweries. The hip brewers stand for more variety and are taking the craft world by storm. Beer should no longer be just beer, but a luxury item that stands out in its own right with its aroma composition, variety of taste and individuality.

Beery variety from Kreuzberg

The Berliners' honest concept is popular and it's what you get in the bottles: Behind the stylishly designed labels you'll only find "extraordinary" beer, seasoned with a mighty pinch of Berlin. Schoppe has been swinging the mash paddle since 2001 and the capital city brewery's broad range of products now includes well over 15 types of beer, and the number is constantly rising. There's a lot of demand for creative, unique and young beers and Schoppe Bräu is happy to meet this demand. No Juice , Katerfrühstück and Holy Shit Ale are three of the best known - and most popular - representatives of the range. The brewery also recently launched a whole range of organic beers, which are sold under the Schoppes Bär label. Organic barley malt and hops are used to make organic beer with a first-class taste and a clear conscience. Another highlight in Schoppe's beer shelf is their Brut Ale : the finest top-fermented ale is fermented with exclusive champagne yeast to create a sparkling masterpiece and filled with the highly aromatic Hallertauer Blanc hops. The result is an extremely fine beer that can stand up to any champagne.
