Sibeeria Brewery

Siberia is an incredibly vast area that covers almost three quarters of Russia. The area consists of a whole handful of different landscapes that offer dark forests, endless steppes, rushing rivers and deep blue lakes, coastal areas on the Arctic Ocean and the Siberian Sea and majestic mountain ranges. A wide variety of flora and fauna populate the region, including numerous species that are only found in this place. The team at a brewery called Sibeeria is not from Siberia at all. The brewers come from the Czech capital and - at least in terms of their name - take credit for other people's work. When it comes to their beer, however, they have absolutely no need to: their range includes a whole range of creative, hand-brewed, flavorful and innovative beers that completely won us over.

Flying Brewers

With their humble beginnings, the Sibeeria team follows in the footsteps of countless brewers before them. As newcomers to the beer market, they did not have the financial means to buy their own brewing system. They had to rely on the good nature of their colleagues and initially caused havoc as cuckoo brewers in other people's brewhouses. The doors were opened to them and they were allowed to try out whatever they wanted. The first attempts and experiments were already rewarded with delicious results and the enthusiastic team was quickly able to put together a core range. For five years, Sibeeria celebrated the beer nomad life and brewed here and there with friends and colleagues. During this time, the brewers made valuable friendships and connections with other brewers all over the world. Experiences, recipes and advice were exchanged and even then the odd brew was created in collaboration. The brewers maintain this tradition to this day and work together on beers such as It's Gotta Be Something or One Night In Hell, which were created with Browar Pinta and Ārpus . In 2019, enough beer had been sold to take the leap into their own brewery. The days of being a cuckoo brewer were over, the flying brewery set up a cozy nest.

From tank to craft beer in almost 100 years

Sibeeria chose a very special place as its new home: the brewery was built on the historic site of the former Českomoravskà Kolben-Daněk group. The factory was founded in 1927 as a merger of two companies and has produced motorcycles, tanks, trams and electronic parts over the course of its history. The site is located in the north-east of Prague and has been abandoned since it closed in 2000. Sibeeria breathed new life into the historic site and has since enriched its city with tasty barley juice and a place to go for fans of sophisticated beers.
