Anyone who enters a craft beer shop like the Bierothek® will see a shelf with hundreds of different beers. All of them contain alcohol.

Logical, thinks the beer drinker, how else could it be? Three friends from Hamburg, who sometimes drink little or no alcohol themselves, thought that craft beer should also be enjoyed by people who don't want to or shouldn't drink alcohol. Laia, Sönke and Philip want to put an end to the monotonous misery of non-alcoholic beers in Germany. With Uwe - the first beer brand in Germany that specializes entirely in non-alcoholic craft beers.

Clear thing

"Get clear" is Uwe's motto. This doesn't mean the lack of cloudiness in the beer, but rather the clear mind that remains when you enjoy a Uwe. Uwe is for everyone, anytime, that's the key. Uwe is the humorous answer to conventional non-alcoholic beer and a real alternative, even for those who already drink alcohol. Uwe's beers like the Summer Ale or the IPA are so good that even die-hard beer drinkers like to grab one for a change. The regulars' table will have to get used to that first. Maybe with a Uwe.

Uwe for all

Uwe's team wants to approach non-alcoholic beer with the same passion as conventional beer. They want to put a lot of heart and soul into creating more variety on the non-alcoholic shelves and start a new brewing tradition. An alcohol-free revolution, so to speak.

In May 2018, their first two varieties, Uwe IPA and Uwe's Summer Ale, were launched, followed by Alster Ale after some tinkering. Of course, they are all alcohol-free and the beers from Uwe will always remain that way - that much is clear. Without a bad hangover the next morning, you can convince yourself of this with one or many Uwes: the alcohol-free beers are in no way inferior to the conventional ones in terms of variety of aromas, drinkability and taste. On the contrary, they are so good that you want to consume unreasonable quantities of them.
