The Chiemsee Wit from Camba Bavaria is a Belgian-Bavarian cooperation. Strictly speaking, no Belgian was involved in the creative process; Belgian participation is limited to contributing the beer style. The Wit is a classic from Belgium and is characterized by the combination of two unusual taste components: notes of sun-ripened oranges and spicy coriander shape the character of the wit and make it a unique specialty.
The Bavarian interpretation of Camba does not contain either coriander seeds or orange peel, but both aromas are clearly perceptible. In order to comply with the Bavarian Purity Law, this effect is achieved through the handpicked raw materials and a masterful brewing process. Two kinds of hops and real Belgian ale yeast give the beer its fine taste, two different types of malt bring velvety softness and harmony to the beer.
The Bavarian-Belgian beer creation flows into the glass in a rich gold tone and has a fine-pored crown of white foam on the cloudy body. The Chiemsee Wit is fresh and fruity on the nose: juicy orange notes meet herbal spices. The first taste reveals a slim body with wonderful freshness. The Wit vom Chiemsee is the perfect refreshment for hot summer days and quenches thirst with juicy fruit notes, fine tartness, soft sweetness and subtle bitterness.
