A cup of steaming cocoa awakens childhood memories in many of us: the creamy sweetness caresses the palate with notes of chocolate, a touch of velvety cream gives the drink a certain luxury and the tart bitterness of roasted cocoa beans rounds off the enjoyment in an atmospheric way.
With their Baltic Porter Tallinn, the creative brewery Kehrwieder was inspired by these sweet memories and brewed a beery equivalent for adults. The strong porter is characterized by its full malt character and brings with it a warming 6.3% alcohol content.
The night-black beer is adorned with a generous amount of hazelnut-brown, creamy and dense-pored foam and when poured it smells sensually of fine men’s chocolate, raisins marinated in rum and freshly brewed espresso. The first taste is soft and sweet, but after a short time a powerful mocha note joins in and replaces the sweetness with a nice bitterness and fine roasted aromas. Hints of exotic vanilla underline the enjoyment of the beer and harmonize wonderfully with the brilliant finale, which will bring back the cocoa of your childhood with full intensity. Tallinn is an unfiltered beer specialty that goes well with hearty meat dishes, hearty mushroom dishes and chocolate desserts. Our favorite? A pan-fried rump steak with homemade herb butter, creamy brown beer jus and baked potatoes refined with garlic, olive oil and rosemary.
