The Kuchlbauer brewery from Abenberg has specialized in the production of the finest wheat beers. The range of the traditional brewery includes a wide variety of wheat, which inspires with a wonderful yeast note and a great range of typical white beer notes. Probably the most intense example in this series is Aloysius: The fine Weissbierbock is an absolute hit, both visually and in terms of taste. Highly aromatic, wonderfully malty and enticingly creamy!
Aloysius is presented in a deep dark chestnut tone in the glass and shimmers copper-red when exposed to light. The red-brown beer is adorned with a stately crown of creamy, slightly tinted foam and smells seductively of strong malt, yeast, ripe banana, exotic figs and sweet plums. The initial taste reveals a voluminous beer typical of wheat with a bouquet of strong notes and a lot of fine pearly carbonic acid, which gives the beer a great creaminess. The Bock beer hits the tongue with a dominant maltiness and caresses the palate with strong aromas of melt-in-the-mouth caramel, creamy banana, spicy yeast, cloves, dark bread, ripe stone fruits and raisins pickled in rum. A fine tartness elegantly rounds off the play of aromas and combines with a dry hop note to a brilliant finale.
The Weizenbock from Kuchlbauer has everything you would expect from a good wheat beer!
