The Tannenzäpfle is the classic in the wide range of the Rothaus Brewery and the beer that made it so successful. It is the flagship of the Black Forest brewery and has been brewed for more than 50 years.
The south German Pils comes in small bottles that present a stylized lady in Black Forest costume and some magnificent pine cones on the label. The bottle neck is clad in chic gold foil, which gives the fine beer the elegance of champagne. And the contents are also impressive: The Tannenzäpfle flows in crystal clear gold into the glass and has a stately, snow-white head of foam on its shiny body. A scent rises from the fine-pored splendor that takes you into the depths of the Black Forest for the duration of a breath: Spicy meadow herbs meet the smell of a dewy forest in the nose. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression and delights the palate with a symphony of fine malt sweetness and bitter hop bitterness. In addition to the malty aromas of honey, freshly baked bread and sun-kissed grain, there is a bouquet of hops that tastes of mown grass, fine citrus fruit and a meadow of summer flowers. The finish is dry and stays on the tongue for a long time with its strong hops bitterness.
Longing for the lush splendor and the evergreen expanses of the Black Forest? A cool pine tree helps!
Water, barley malt, hop extract, hops.
