In the wide range of unusual beers, the plain IPA almost goes under. But don’t be fooled, this India Pale Ale is an absolute blast.
The IPA has come a long way: from the early beginnings in the time of the large merchant ships and colonies through a dry spell in which the beer style was almost forgotten, until today. India Pale Ale is currently one of the most popular craft beer styles and is part of the repertoire of every young brewer. A good IPA is not rocket science, but it still requires a lot of skill and experience to tame the sometimes unreasonably large quantities of hops. The trick is to lure every single taste nuance out of the green umbels without letting the bitter units shoot up. The brewers of the capital brewery BRLO have mastered their craft and have come up with an extremely tasty IPA that will cloud your senses with juicy citrus notes and fresh pine.
BRLO’s Berlin IPA flows into the glass in almost clear gold and presents a stately crown of white, airy foam. A wonderful hop flower rises in the nose and tempts with notes of mandarin, lemon and sun-ripened grain to drink. The taste is based on the first impression and inspires with a cornucopia of juicy citrus fruits that combine with peach, pine resin and a hint of oats to form an irresistible mixture.
