The brewers from the Hanseatic city rented a room from their friends at Weldebräu in Baden-Württemberg for their very own interpretation of the lager and brewed a real picture-book lager. The refreshing beer brings 5.2% alcohol content to the table and flows into the glass in a clear and shiny gold. A magnificent crown of ivory-colored, airy and fine-pored foam sits enthroned on the beer and emits an enticing aroma. The bouquet of sun-dried straw, light malt, delicate floral and grass notes as well as hints of tangy citrus fruit literally tempts you to drink. This presents a lean, light-footed beer with gentle carbonation and a velvety-soft mouthfeel. A sweet symphony of lightly roasted grain, creamy caramel and straw introduces the enjoyment of the beer, before the hops join in and add notes of freshly mown grass, lemon zest and summer flower meadows to the aromatic play. A subtle bitterness completes the taste experience.
