Fränk, the fruit bomb!
In the range of hipster-named beers from Flügge, Fränk is no exception. But it stands out with its wonderful fruitiness, which comes from using delicious passion fruit puree. After the sour beer has been fermented with a yeast from Norway, it is gently stored on the fruit puree and acquires its tempting taste in the course of this process.
Fränk flows into the glass in a cloudy sunny yellow and forms an attractive head of foam. As soon as you open the bottle, Fränk shows what's inside: Fränk presents its wonderfully fruity passion fruit power on a tangy, sour base. A hint of lemon and a little white peach complement the scent and give Fränk the aroma of an elegant cocktail. The initial taste reveals a light-footed body with lively carbon dioxide and a wonderfully dry mouthfeel. On the tongue, the full load of passion fruit meets ripe peach, juicy nectarine and mealy apricot. The malt provides a soft, bready undertone, but otherwise stays discreetly in the background. Fränk is a play of aromas of sweet and sour fruit notes that are cleverly balanced. The finish has a fruit-intensive acidity and is extremely dry.
We recommend Fränk to everyone who likes it fruity. The sour beer is refreshing and tastes great with Mediterranean dishes.
