Seniors are an often overlooked part of society. The older generation retires from working life and is forgotten in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but they could make a valuable contribution to everyday life. Behind the gray hair lies decades of wisdom, bundled life experience and a serenity that most of us could learn a little about. The Blech.Brut brewery from Bamberg takes a humorous look at the generation conflict and honors our seniors with a range of fine beers.
Whippersnapper , Spring Chicken , Tiny Tot and Greenhorn are part of a series that can already be identified from the outside: Grandmas painted from coarse pixels adorn the colorful labels of all beers. Behind the sweet grandmothers are juicy India Pale Ales in various versions. Instead of candies, handkerchiefs and other odds and ends, these old ladies keep a whole lot of hops in their bagged purses.
Greenhorn is brewed with the Cascade Cryo, The Bruce, Cryo Pop and Comet varieties and brings 6.8% ABV to the glass. A fresh aroma of citrus notes, juicy hops and gentle malt rises from the fleeting head of foam. The first drink follows with tropical fruit, ripe stone fruit, spicy yeast, grass clippings and woody herbs. The velvety-soft mouthfeel elegantly rounds off the enjoyment of beer.
