Counter-Strike is a series of related computer games that have amassed countless fans since their release in 2000. In tactical clashes, a team of terrorists fights against an anti-terrorist unit. Together with your fellow players, you go through several rounds in which strategies have to be forged, attacks carried out, opponents eliminated and missions completed. The goal is to still have life points left at the end and to defeat the opposing party.
The Atelier Vrai brewery takes a humorous look at this popular game and the precarious situation in supermarkets at the beginning of the pandemic. Part one of their Pandemic Series is called Discounter Strike and parodies the war-like conditions that prevailed in the country's discount stores during Corona times, when there were bitter fights in the aisles over toilet paper or pasta.
Behind the beer with the provocative name is a New England IPA with a whopping 7.4% alcohol content and a whole range of exquisite ingredients. The fine, densely cloudy drop contains the hop varieties Amarillo, Citra, Comet and Mosaic. This wealth of juicy flavors is countered by a quintet of different types of malt and grain; In addition, the beer was fermented with a mixture of Vermont yeast and English cultures. The end result is a tropical, fruity brew with tangy citrus notes and a harmoniously balanced bitterness.
