As you can see from our extensive range of the finest craft beers, we love young, modern breweries. We are enthusiastic about wild brewers who turn the beer world upside down with their unconventional, innovative and sometimes really crazy ideas. We enjoy crazy craft beers to the full and ignore the Bavarian Purity Law when exceptional brewers like David Hertl or Axel Kiesbye tempt with unusual ingredients and daring flavor combinations. With all the breath of fresh air in the beer scene, we don’t want to forget the Franconian brewing tradition and the countless family businesses in our region. With their tried and tested beers that have been refined and perfected over generations, we are fascinated by traditional craft breweries as much as by fancy micro breweries and hop heads on the mash paddle.
One of these traditional Franconian breweries is the Forchheimer Greif brewery. The finest beer has been brewed here for more than 150 years, which is down-to-earth, calm and simply delicious. One of our favorites is the Christmas festival beer, which is served year after year from autumn. The seasonal specialty is made according to an old family recipe and seduces with dark aromas, strong malt, creamy caramel notes and its full-bodied character.
Taste Franconia with this festive beer creation!
