The Eschenbacher private brewery, based in the Franconian town of Eltmann, boasts a wide range of Bavarian classics. Its beers are down-to-earth, uncomplicated, and so drinkable that they’ve long since found fans far beyond Franconia’s borders. The brewery has been producing beer since the 18th century: Back then, it was brewed primarily for its own consumption and that of family, friends, and the neighborhood. After opening its pub, word quickly spread about Eschenbacher’s excellent beer, and production had to be ramped up to meet the growing demand. Today, the Eschenbacher selection has a large following.

One of the most popular examples in the core range is the Kellerbier. This traditional delicacy flows into the glass in a delicate, cloudy amber gold and is adorned with a magnificent head of dense, white foam. A delicate aroma of oven-fresh brioche, sun-ripened lemon, and spicy yeast greets the nose. The first impression continues tastefully: an appealing harmony of freshly baked white bread, floral hops, robust yeast notes, tangy lemon, and fine malt tickles the tongue.

The Eschenbacher Kellerbier is a robust, earthy beer with a clear line and a pleasant 5.2% alcohol content.
