In its latest creation, the Italian brewery Birra Karma wants to capture the charm and peculiarities of its homeland. The Campania region lies in the western lower half of the boot and offers its visitors breathtaking stretches of coast, a national park that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the lively metropolis of Naples and excellent cuisine. The local wine goes perfectly with pizza with buffalo mozzarella, Parmigiano di Melanzane, sfogliatelle and vongole. Pallagrello Bianco is a very common grape variety in Campania: These light-colored grapes are characterized by their mild acidity and the subtle notes of apricot and peach. The brewery team chose exactly these fruits, which are typical for the region, to give their Italian Grape Ale the finishing touch.
The brew is made with the must of the Pallagrello grape and is called CentesimAle. The noble drop brings a whopping 7.5% alcohol content to the table and presents itself in a deep chestnut brown with a ruby red shimmer. Its scent is composed of white grapes, red fruits and a hint of whiskey. The first taste is silky soft and brings a wonderful sweetness to the tongue. Full-bodied malt and ripe grapes open the beer enjoyment, shortly afterwards a dry, fruity acidity joins.
CentesimAle is a complex beer treat with fiery warmth and a skilful interplay of grapes and sun-ripened grain. We stock the beer in 0.33l and in the elegant champagne bottle with a capacity of 0.75l .
