Almost everyone who is active in the beer scene now knows the abbreviation IPA. But what is an IIPPAA?
The Polish Browar Pinta brewed a West Coast style Double IPA. A double IPA, so to speak, that is brewed along the lines of the extremely hoppy West Coast IPAs. The four American aromatic hop varieties Simcoe, Citra, Columbus and Falconer's Flight are not only brewed, but also added to the beer using a very special technique. The so-called DryHopnik process brings out a maximum of taste and aroma from the hop pellets. The double dry hopping and a short maturation phase make the beer a fresh and highly aromatic beer specialty. The aim of this effort is to brew a crisp, bitter and beautifully dry beer that is wonderfully citrus-fresh and tasty.
Three brewers came together to create this hoppy masterpiece: Paweł Masłowski, Michał Cebula and Ziemowit Fałat.
IIPPAA flows into the glass in a cloudy gold tone and forms a white head. As soon as you open the bottle, you can already sense the citrus power of this beer: lemon, lime and grapefruit caress the olfactory nerves, and a hint of pine resin underlines the fruity freshness. When drunk, the IPA is medium heavy and initially subtly sour. A citrusy cocktail of fresh pink grapefruit and lemon juice dances on the tongue, with bitterness following on the heels. The finish is exceptionally bitter and wonderfully dry.
