This beer sets an example against boring beer - at least these are the words of the Lehe Brewery about their creation with the simple name Heckle.
From a purely visual point of view, Heckle already impresses us with its colorful label, which is reminiscent of the ingenious compositions of the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. And the name is also well thought out: "Heckle" comes from Estonian and means something like "interjection". Since an interjection sounds like a marginal phenomenon, we interpret the title more like a loud call that interrupts the endless stream of boring beers. That the Heckle is truly something special - a fantastic interjection - the degustationer realizes at the latest during the smell test. The strong fruit aroma with skilfully played notes of pineapple and mango will not escape your nose. And the Heckle doesn’t have to hide in terms of taste either: The sophisticated variety of flavors from citrus fruits and hops confirm the ingenuity of this interjection.
Despite its voluminous body, we can warmly recommend the Heckle to craft beer novices as well. It is so finely balanced that it delights both connoisseurs and beginners.
