The team at the Greek brewery Septem has a thing for special beers, so it comes as no surprise that they also put their very own stamp on classic lager beer. With Mylos they have succeeded in creating an aromatic, subtly balanced and drinkable interpretation of a lager.
Mylos is the Greek word for mill and pairs beautifully with Septems round beer with 4.6% ABV and a delicious malt variety. The lager presents itself in a shiny gold tone and has a snow-white, airy head of foam on the crystal-clear body. A bouquet of roasted grain, mown grass, floral hops and delicate citrus notes fills the air and makes you want to take the first sip. The initial sip follows the olfactory first impression and caresses the taste buds with hints of oven-fresh biscuits, malt and straw. The hops contribute notes of grass, herbs and sun-ripened citrus, balancing the malty richness with a touch of bitterness.
Septems Lager Mylos is a refreshing beer that scores with tasteful lightness, a silky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. We like to drink the Greek specialty with Mediterranean dishes: grilled chicken with rosemary potatoes, a homemade herb aioli and green salad is a harmonious accompaniment to delicious beer, but Mylos also goes well with vegetables, desserts or red meat.
