General Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) for booking beer seminars, courses and other events carried out by the Bierothek Essen (as of: 12/2021)

By registering for a beer seminar at Bierothek® Essen, I agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Scope

The following general terms and conditions regulate the contractual relationship between participants in beer seminars, courses and other events (hereinafter “event”) (hereinafter “participants”) and Craft Beer Station GmbH (hereinafter “beer library”).

2. Conditions of participation for our beer seminars

• People aged 16 and over are entitled to take part in our beer seminars

• Due to the current situation, only healthy people without any cold symptoms or fever are permitted to participate.

• At the beginning of the event it is necessary to present proof of the Corona Protection Ordinance in force at the time of the event

• People who are already intoxicated are generally excluded from participation. In this case, access to the event will not be granted and the ticket will no longer be valid.

3. Conclusion of contract

Registration for events can be done via the beer library's homepage or on site at the beer library. The right to participate (conclusion of contract) is only valid upon confirmation by the beer library. This is done by email - when registering and paying via PayPal or card payment or when redeeming the corresponding vouchers or received transfer for advance class, via the homepage - or by handing over the ticket(s) after paying in cash or card on site.

4. Cancellations and cancellations

4.1. The Bierothek Essen reserves the right to cancel a beer seminar at least 96 hours before the start if fewer than 6 participants have registered at the time of cancellation. In this case, participants can have the event fee refunded upon request. Otherwise, the value of the event tickets remains fully intact and can be exchanged for tickets for future events. Reimbursement of participants’ travel expenses or other costs associated with the event is excluded.

4.2. If events have to be canceled by the Bierothek Essen because they are not possible due to external circumstances (due to the pandemic), the registered participants will be informed immediately. The value of the tickets remains fully intact and can be exchanged for tickets for future events. Alternatively, in this case you can also purchase the ticket value at the Essen beer shop. A refund of advance payments is excluded.

4.3. The following applies to face-to-face events:

If the participant cancels participation in the event in whole or in part for themselves and/or other participants, the Bierothek is entitled to charge part of the participation fee as a cancellation fee as follows:

• Cancellation up to 14 days before the start of the event: 0% of the participation fee (the value of the ticket remains in full)

• Cancellation 13 days to 24 hours before the start of the event: 50% of the participation fee (half of the ticket value remains)

• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start of the event or if the participant does not show up: 100% of the participation fee (the ticket loses its value, there is no entitlement to an alternative date, advance payments made will not be refunded)

A refund of advance payments is excluded.

Any remaining value of the tickets will be offset when booking future events. To do this, you must contact Bierothek® Essen directly.

4.4. The following applies to online events: If the participant cancels participation in the event in whole or in part for themselves and/or other participants, the Bierothek is entitled to charge part of the participation fee as a cancellation fee as follows

• If canceled up to 24 hours before the end of the registration period: 0% of the participation fee (the value of the ticket remains in full)

• A later cancellation is not possible because the order has already been processed and shipped. If you do not show up for the event, the tickets lose their value and there is no entitlement to an alternative date. Advance payments made will not be refunded. Delivered beer packages remain the property of the participant

4.5. The participant is at liberty to prove that no damage occurred or that the damage was significantly lower than that claimed by the beer library.

5. Liability

The Bierothek has unlimited liability for injury to life, limb or health, or under the Product Liability Act. Otherwise, the beer library's liability is limited to the violation of essential contractual obligations ("essential contractual obligations" are those that are necessary to fulfill the contractually agreed services and on whose fulfillment the parties can therefore regularly rely); Liability in these cases is limited to typical foreseeable damages.
