It is not nice when you realise that something is missing, but in that very moment there is a spark, the origin of a brilliant idea. When you come across a problem, a gap in the market or a niche that has not yet been served, you have a choice: you can lament the misery or recognise the potential and decide to make something of it. Many great inventions have come about in this way. This is also the case with the Bavarian Caps label from Kehlheim.rn
It all started with Peter, a passionate wearer of headgear. The young man from Lower Bavaria was in fact so fond of caps that he was never seen without one. When friends and acquaintances saw him at the Oktoberfest without a cap, they almost didn't recognize him. Everyone wondered why he chose this particular festive occasion to go topless, but it wasn't really a choice that Peter made of his own free will: despite an intensive search, he couldn't find a cap that matched his traditional costume. And because a real Bavarian can't be seen on the Theresienwiese without lederhosen, Peter had no choice but to show up without a cap. Back in Kehlheim, the problem came up over a cozy beer with his buddies and they decided to do something about it. The five friends founded Bavarian Caps in 2015 and hit the jackpot with their first cap, a gray model with an edelweiss motif. Thanks to the rustic felt fabric, suede-look shield and traditional embroidery, this very first version went wonderfully with dirndls and traditional costumes – problem solved!
Today, the team consists of far more people than the five guys who had the courage to tackle the cap problem, and the range has been massively expanded. Bavarian Caps works with football clubs and breweries, presents us with heroes from our childhood in their motifs, and has expanded its radius. As a certified climate-neutral company, Bavarian Caps supports various UN projects and uses this support to offset its CO2 emissions. With this commitment, the company stands for the preservation of nature and tries to become a little better and greener every day. The projects include the reforestation of cleared land in Uruguay and the protection of the rainforests in Brazil. In our range you will find a curated selection of caps and hats from the Kehlheim manufacturer, which revolve around the topic of beer: caps to which you can pin bottle caps using a built-in magnet, hats with beer bottle embroidery , and much more!
