Berlin is a city of one million people that stretches over almost 900 square kilometers. This magnificent area is home to highlights and sights that attract hordes of tourists year after year. The Tiergarten, the Hackesche Höfe, Charlottenburg and Alexanderplatz are among the most popular destinations and it is precisely in these places that you will find a real Berlin original: the Lemke brewery. rn
The company's exciting story began in 1998. Founder Oli returned from abroad with a whole host of ideas in his luggage and wanted to put the concentrated experience of the last few years into his own project. Before that, he had a university degree in brewing and had traveled the world to build breweries. With rudimentary resources and solid specialist knowledge, Oli built his first own brewing system. A short time later, he came across the perfect location: a disused S-Bahn arch at Hackescher Markt was to be leased and the founder seized the opportunity and converted the hall into a brewery. His friends pitched in and shortly before the new millennium, the first beer flowed in the Lemke brewery. From then on, things went steeply uphill: Lemke took over the cult pub Tiergartenquelle, Leopold's Brauhaus on Alexanderplatz and the Charlottenburger Luisenbräu. The takeovers enabled Oli to expand his production, build new systems and expand his product range. He and his team set up a pilot brewery, installed a bottling plant, expanded and opened a beer garden. A well-rounded affair.rn
Because Oli has never lost his wanderlust, he is always drawn out into the world. His company runs like a well-oiled machine and his team of reliable, hardworking and independent people allows him to break out of everyday life again and again. Now and then he sets off to build breweries all over the world and returns from his travels inspired, motivated and fresh. This great freedom can also be felt in his range: At Lemke, they brew whatever you feel like. There are Berlin classics, down-to-earth traditional beers, imaginative craft beers and special specialty beers - a colorful collection of hand-brewed brews that cover every taste. In addition to the fine brews, Lemke Berlin also sells matching glasses and beer merchandise such as shirts and caps. rn
Oli Lemke and his team have developed into a real Berlin institution over the last 20 years and are an integral part of Germany's modern beer market!
