Reichenbacher®

Munich is the Hofbräuhaus, the Oktoberfest, the Marienplatz, the Feldherrnhalle, the Frauenkirche, the English Garden and beer! Bavaria is more closely connected to its culinary tradition than almost any other federal state. Beer is an integral part of this tradition and the Bavarians' favorite drink. No wonder, Bavarian beer is so tasty that it is enjoyed far beyond the borders of Bavaria and Germany.

Beer City Munich

When you think of Munich, countless sights and attractions immediately spring to mind. In addition to the annual Oktoberfest, which is the undisputed highlight of Munich's festival year, the Bavarian capital has the Christmas market, a multitude of cultural sites worth seeing and a culinary landscape that is second to none. One thing is indispensable to the culinary tradition of Munich and Bavaria: beer has been an important part of Bavarian culture for centuries and is considered so much more than just a luxury item here. Beer is a philosophy of life and is taken very seriously in Bavaria, as you can see from the beer mug safes in Munich's Hofbräuhaus, for example. Traditionally, regulars have been able to store their very own beer mugs here for centuries so that they can drink the good beer from their own mug.

So if you throw a beer onto this market, it has to be an excellent one.

The team at the Munich Bierothek® consists of real professionals, so it's no surprise that their house beer, Munich Dunkel, is a real hit. The traditional bottom-fermented beer is a mild beer specialty brewed in the Munich style and has its roots in the 18th century.

Old but gold!

Munich in a glass

The Munich Dark from Reichenbacher is presented in a deep amber tone with ruby red reflections. A beige head of foam sits on top of the beer and is supported by a pearly carbonation. The aroma of the beer delights with bitter-sweet aromas of dark roasted malt, sugary molasses and a hint of chocolate. A lovely fruity note of dried fruit is added and sets the mood for the first sip. This reveals a medium-heavy body and a whole lot of flavor. On the tongue, dark roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate raisins and a hint of spice combine to create a wonderful mixture. The finish is dry and beautifully bitter.

Enjoy!
