The master brewer editions are an absolute highlight in the generous range of the Camba Bavaria brewery. Every month a different master brewer can let off steam at the kettle and create his very own beer. There are no limits for men and women, no ingredient is too wild and no taste too daring. The experiment was crowned with success: month after month, the Braumeister editions are completely sold out after just a few weeks and the public is ready for the creation of another brewer.
The work of master brewer Jens Klein is the master brewer edition of October and number 43 among these special beers. His Bavarian Kveik is a fresh wheat beer and is characterized by the use of a very special ingredient: Kveik is a yeast strain from Norway that has traditionally been used for brewing there for hundreds of years. In the last few years the yeast has become more and more popular in the international craft beer scene because it is less sensitive to temperature than other yeasts and also works surprisingly quickly. The aroma profile is very clear and has no off-notes. Jens Klein took advantage of these unusual properties and created a beer that inspires with its soft malt character and delicate fruity notes of pineapple and ripe stone fruits. A hint of sourdough rounds off the play of aromas.
