At first glance you would expect Camba Bavarias Hop Gun to be a juicy India Pale Ale. This type of beer is usually hoppy and doesn’t hold back when it comes to quality. The fine beer from Chiemsee is a so-called Dry Hop Brown Ale, a cold-hopped brown beer. The copper-red creation is brewed with Pilsner, Munich and caramel malts and packed with Select, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. The whopping 6.4% alcohol content is well integrated into the strong taste.
Hop Gun flows into the glass in a shimmering ruby-red brown tone and completes its attractive appearance with a fluffy crown of dense-pored, ivory-colored foam. A scent of dried apricots, raisins and cranberries wafts into your nose from the sturdy hood. Fresh hops round off the olfactory first impression and awaken your thirst for beer. The initial drink emits a fruity aromatic play of apricot, peach and nectarine notes. Over the course of drinking enjoyment, green hints of hops and a harmonious bitterness are added.
