The Keesmann brewery is a long-established and highly respected institution in the rich beer landscape of Bamberg. In Franconia, cellar, lager, smoked and bock beers are the undisputed favourites. But the Herren Pils from Keesmann is a down-to-earth and extremely drinkable Pils, which even the beer-spoiled Bambergers like. It is brewed according to a closely guarded family recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation. Years of experimentation and fine-tuning led to the perfect malt combination and selection of hop varieties.
The Herren Pils pours into the glass in a clear golden tone and forms an impressive head of foam. Tempting aromas of freshly baked bread and fragrant hop blossoms rise from the foam. A hint of freshly mown grass and subtle herbal notes complete the olfactory pleasure. Keesmanns Pilsner hits the tongue with a pleasant tartness and unfolds a variety of flavors: Sun-dried straw is combined with crispy biscuits and malty nuances. Flowery and fruity hints of hops give the brew a light and refreshing note. The balance between hops and malt is wonderfully successful, even if the hops stand out a little more. The finish is dry and delightfully bitter.
The Herren Pils from the house is a true classic, which is also available in slightly larger bottles with a capacity of half a liter.
