Pairing different flavors is a bit of a science in itself. Since everyone has different tastes, it is sometimes difficult to find a combination that will make everyone happy. However, we are pretty sure that the Kuehn Kunz Rosen brewery has hit the jackpot with their mix of sweet and bitter.
The wheat IPA is brewed with four different types of malt, and four types of hops juxtapose them and cleverly balance the sweetness. The kamut flakes used give the beer an exotic note.
Mystique flows into the glass in an almost clear, shiny golden amber tone and is crowned by an airy, white foam. A fine, multi-faceted hop aroma rises from the foam head into the nose. Freshly mown grass, green tea, creamy caramel and tangy citrus fruit combine to create a tempting scent potpourri. The initial drink reveals a straightforward beer that has a clear common thread: a clean, crisp bitterness develops from the initial drink right through to the aftertaste. A subtle sweetness balances the bitterness. Notes of freshly baked cookies, toasted bread, honey, pine resin and grapefruit represent the skilful use of malt and hops.
Kuehn Kunz Rosen's Mystique IPA is an exceptional representative of its kind and a beer that you have to try! Our experts tasted the beer in the virtual beer seminar and found this beer really exciting.
