After brau.nett was a complete success in 2018, Kuehn Kunz Rosen's second collaboration with winemaker Kai Schatzel from the Nierstein winery follows. Pink.nett is the successor to brau.nett and, like its extremely successful pioneer, is a hybrid of beer and wine. To brew this unique style of beer, red wine mash is added to the beer mash. The mash is fermented together and creates a beer that is something very special.
Pink.nett flows into the glass in a copper-red amber tone and shows beautiful pink reflections when exposed to light. A small, fine head of foam tops the beer and exudes a unique scent. The light-footed acidity and heavy fruitiness of red grapes mixes in the nose with down-to-earth, soft malt to create a scent potpourri that arouses great desire for the first sip. The initial taste reveals an elegant beer that initially has a grape accent. Sweet, tart and subtly sour, the aroma of freshly harvested grapes spreads across the tongue. The malt contributes a soft caramel note and cleverly balances the tangy acidity of the grapes that gradually emerges. The finish balances the playful sweetness and fruity acidity with a long, dry-tart finish.
We recommend this extraordinary beer to everyone who is actually a wine drinker but would like to get closer to the exciting world of beers. The perfect switch from grapes to hops!
