Our new addition to the Riegele brewery's wide range is a real special beer. In a complex process, the husks are separated from the meal, so that pure meal remains. The meal is then mashed and further processed according to old traditions. The result is a beer that delights with fine spice and heavenly mildness.
Riegele's Commerzienrat presents itself with a fine shine in the glass and shimmers in a radiant gold tone. A stable, snow-white foam crowns the crystal-clear beer and exudes a fresh, subtly fruity scent. On the nose, a beautiful hop flower meets sun-ripened grain, oven-fresh bread and gentle citrus notes. The initial taste reveals an elegant, light-footed palate with a soft mouthfeel. A subtle sweetness of creamy caramel and roasted malt caresses the palate before the hops come into play with fruity citrus notes, floral notes and a subtle bitterness. Fine yeast gives the beer a nice spice. A malty note of freshly baked bread crust skilfully rounds off the play of aromas. Despite the bitterness and spice, Riegele's Commerzienrat scores with its incomparable mildness. This is thanks to the separation of grist and husks and makes the light beer wonderfully drinkable.
The Riegele brewery recommends a drinking temperature of 7 degrees. Well tempered, the variety of aromas comes into its own particularly well and you can taste every carefully composed flavor nuance.
