The team at the S. Riegele brewery not only has a knack for brewing, the brewers also always find magical words that aptly and beautifully describe their works. Robustus 6, for example, is an English porter that has been nicknamed “malty fireworks”. We love the poetry of their titles and are only too happy to jump on this bandwagon.
The malty fireworks come to you on the wings of six different types of malt. The resourceful men and women in the brewhouse have selected a round of fine grains with true expertise and fine tongues - each one fulfills its role brilliantly and delivers flattering roasted aromas, delicately melting chocolate hints and a complex fullness that delights mind and body. The complex character is supported by a soft perlage and lies as velvety as night on the tongue and palate. A sonorous symphony of delicately bitter coffee notes, creamy chocolate and roasted grain vibrates all the senses and caresses the soul with a gentle hand.
And because exquisite wines can take any meal to the next level, here is a little culinary recommendation: Robustus 6 is the perfect accompaniment to a hearty roast lamb. We prefer sirloin steak sauteed in woody herbs and butter with green beans and duchess potatoes on the side.
