Each of us has certain key or lucky numbers in life. These dates mark a memorable event, celebration, or milestone and are sometimes celebrated year after year. Birthdays, anniversaries or name days are included, as are jersey numbers, competition start numbers or the home or telephone number of an important person.

For the Rittmayer brewery, the number 1422 is an absolute lucky number. The brewery in the Forchheim region was founded in 1422 and has been a family business from the very beginning. To this day, the Rittmayers have the scepter in their hands and are largely responsible for the delicious creations of their brewery. And the Rittmayers take their responsibility very seriously: the family honors the traditions of their ancestors and cherishes their memories with beers that do credit to the good name of Rittmayer.

To celebrate the year 1422 and its special significance, the brewers have come up with two beers. The Helle and the Festbier both have the 1422 in their titles and are excellent for toasting to the long-standing tradition and excellent quality of the brewery and its beers.
