The Helle is a classic of Bavarian brewing and of course cannot be missing from the range of the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan. The Freising brewery is one of the oldest breweries in the world and has been supplying the people in its area with the finest beer for almost a thousand years. The team no longer brews just for the citizens of Freising - nowadays you can drink the good Weihenstephan beer all over the world. One of the most popular brews from the pen of the skilled brewers is without a doubt the Helle. It has won numerous awards and delights jurors and laypeople alike.
The award-winning brew is refined with a particularly long maturation period and, in its heyday, presents itself in gold in the glass. A lush head of foam piles up on the crystal-clear body and exudes a spicy bouquet that makes you want to take a sip. The first and every subsequent sip enchants the palate with a pleasant balance of mild, robust malt and delicate hop spice. The pale beer is more drinkable than any other beer style and, thanks to its round, harmonious character, goes well with a variety of dishes. Our favorite with this creation is a Caesar salad with crisp romaine lettuce, freshly shaved parmesan, roasted chicken, crispy croutons and a creamy dressing.
The Helle is also available in an alcohol-free version !
