It doesn’t get any more fruity.
Modesty is a word that cannot be found in the repertoire of the exceptional Berlin brewers from Stone Brewing. In their creation, Tangerine Express IPA, this is reflected in the list of ingredients: In addition to the fabulous five hop varieties Citra, Centennial, Sterling, Azacca and Mosaic, the brewers use fresh fruit puree made from pineapple and mandarine. The result is a tropical, fruity cocktail that tastes wonderfully fresh like citrus and very fine like pineapple.
Stone Brewing Berlin’s Tangerine Express IPA presents itself in the sun-yellow color of freshly squeezed orange juice in the glass and is also cloudy. A small amount of airy, white foam sits on the cloudy beer and gives off a heavenly scent of juicy tangerine and tangy citrus peel. The citrus scent is accompanied by fine notes of hoppy herbs and freshly baked biscuits. The initial taste is just as hoppy as you would expect: a crisp bitterness of hops unfolds on the tongue before the fruit spectacle begins. Accompanied by a dominant bitterness, a whole bouquet of various citrus notes blooms on the palate and delights the taste buds with the full-bodied aromas of grapefruit, mandarin, lemon, orange peel and subtle pineapple. A delicate herbal note and a hint of pine resin skilfully round off the play of aromas. The finish is really bitter and has notes of grapefruit and mandarin that stay on the tongue for a long time.
Delicious!
