At this point we would like to issue a warning: Beware of the lemon shark! However, we are not talking about the delicate yellow-colored sea creature that causes mischief off American and African coasts, but rather its relative from California. The monster is not equipped with sharp teeth, but with a quick-witted 9.6% alcohol content and counts experienced beer connoisseurs among its victims in large numbers.
The creators of the beery Lemon Shark are the brewers from Stone Brewing, who created the monster for the 27th anniversary of their brewery. In addition to the abundance of rotations, four types of hops and a brand new discovery called Phantasm are present in the powerful Double India Pale Ale. This powder is made from the skin of New Zealand Sauvingnon Blanc grapes and is intended to enrich the beer with intense notes of citrus fruit, guava and passion fruit. When choosing the green gold, the team also looked around New Zealand and selected the two varieties Peacharine and Riwaka. Combined with Mosaic and Magnum from the USA, this results in a DIPA that couldn’t be juicier and fruitier.
Stones Lemon Shark presents itself in a bright orange gold glass. Ripe mango, sweet peach, tropical pineapple and sunny citrus notes can be found in the scent and taste and hide the high alcohol content dangerously well.
Dangerously juicy!
