The guild drink from the brewery to the sun is a real Franconian classic and the darkest beer in the range of the Bischberger brewery. The full beer delights with its rich, maroon color and full-bodied character.
The 5.3% strong beer flows into the glass in a strong fawn brown and shimmers ruby red when exposed to light. A stately crown of slightly tinted, creamy foam sits enthroned on the clear body and exudes a seductive scent of roasted malt. The fine roasted aroma mixes in the nose with notes of melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and sweet caramel. The initial taste follows this olfactory symphony and caresses the palate with a malty variety: the taste of oven-fresh bread crust is accompanied by notes of toasted grain, toffee and roasted nuts. A touch of coffee elegantly rounds off the malting experience. The hops, on the other hand, contribute a fine, fruity bitterness that increases towards the end to a tasty finish.
We recommend the Zunft Trunk from Sonne to everyone who likes to drink strong Franconian beers. The full-bodied dark wine goes perfectly with hearty dishes such as roasts, snacks or meat dishes thanks to its complex, sweet aroma.
