We think Jorke is pretty cool.
Jorke is a seasonal beer that is mildly acidic and hoppy. The aromatic hop varieties Callista and Columbus provide a lot of flavor, while the Blaugies yeast strain also gives the beer a lot of character and that certain something extra.
The 4.4% alcohol content makes the Saison a drinkable beer, and the light, flaky taste of fresh, juicy citrus fruits supports this effect wonderfully.
Knorke Jorke flows into the glass in a cloudy gold tone and forms a white head of foam that is fed by sparkling, lively carbon dioxide. A wonderfully light fruit aroma rises from the fluff, reminiscent of juicy lemon and exotic yuzu. The citrus bouquet is accompanied by a subtle malt tone, which is accompanied by a hoppy herbal note and a good portion of yeast. The first sip delights with a fresh, sour fruitiness that tastes of apricot, floral hops and citrus fruits. The malt forms an elegant base for the fine fruit aromas, the bubbling carbon dioxide supports the wonderful lightness of the beer.
Jorke is a wonderfully light seasonal beer that offers a range of fruity notes that are round and elegant. We enjoy this tangy beer specialty wonderfully with quiche, tarte flambée or onion tart. Like a fresh Federweißer, Jorke's sweetness and acidity complement the savory notes wonderfully.
