Wind chimes are small mobiles whose mostly colorful elements are made to sound by gentle movements of the air. Some find them magical, others are terribly annoyed by the constant ringing.
The beer of the same name from Vulkan is less opinion-splitting. Their Windspiel is a fabulously tasty pale ale that has been barrel aged over a period of several months. The frosted wood was previously home to the finest Premium Dry Reserve Gin and was converted into a beer barrel. A whole series of aromatic barrels are stored in the deepest beer cellar in the world and the beer in them comes from the pen of the Vulkan brewers. They have created a pale ale to match the aroma of the gin.
The hoppy greyhound has the warm color of golden acacia honey and is topped with a hand's breadth of off-white foam. A tempting bouquet is created from fruity hints and the typical scent of fine gin, which, together with the appealing look, introduces the enjoyment of beer in an atmospheric way. In a harmonious interplay, soft malt notes, dried mango and papaya, mild tartness and fresh hops ensnare the palate. The gin barrel contributes earthy wood notes, a hint of vanilla and the unmistakable aroma of spicy juniper berries to the taste composition. The skilful brewers have succeeded in marrying pale ale and gin incomparably well, creating a beer experience that is second to none.
