Pool parties are a phenomenon that we mainly know from American films and series. Rich teenagers invite large groups of their extensive circle of friends to hang out by their parents’ pool on hot afternoons. You can see hip cliques lounging on inflatables, sipping colorful cocktails, pushing each other into the azure water, posing on loungers in designer swimwear, snacking on watermelon, tossing balls back and forth while gossiping about their classmates.

Less elitist is the version of a pool party that the Novo Brazil brewery from California has come up with: Their latest Hazy IPA is called Pool Party Haze and gives us the perfect drink for a relaxing afternoon by the pool, lake, river or paddling pool. The brew brings a light, fluffy 5.5% alcohol content into the glass and delivers a refreshing mix of juicy citrus notes and spicy hops. A velvety soft texture harmoniously rounds off the enjoyment experience.

Pool Party Haze flows into the glass in a delicately cloudy old gold and forms a fine head of foam that is of a rather fleeting nature. Notes of freshly mown grass combine on the nose with sun-ripened citrus fruit and a hint of tropical fruit - a mixture that is also reflected in the taste: grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, peach, pine tips, grass and green hop cones create a tasty bouquet.
