The La Trappe Witte Trappist is the first white ale in the world to carry the rare Trappist seal. Around a dozen breweries are allowed to call their creations Trappist beer and have to adhere to a whole series of strict rules for this award. The most important of these is that the beer must be made under the supervision of Trappist monks. In many cases, the monks even brew the beer themselves.
La Trappes White Ale is a pale yellow beer specialty that delights with its velvety softness, balanced malt character and fine acidity. The beer gets a special elegance and lightness from the sparkling carbon dioxide: Thousands of small pearls make the aromas dance on the tongue and make the Witte Trappist a refreshing beer enjoyment. The aromatic work of the monks has a large fan base in the Netherlands and has already received several prestigious awards there. Now the delicious beer is conquering the German-speaking area and is also quenching an acute thirst for beer here.
The light blonde beer shows a slight cloudiness in the glass and is adorned with a stable crown of snow-white foam. Aromas of gently roasted wheat malt, floral hops, tart citrus fruit, peach, apricot, white pepper and clove run like a red thread through the fragrance and taste and make La Trappes Witte Trappist a real culinary delight.
