When we found out that the Puntigamer brewery from Graz in Austria has a beer-related beer in its range, we were naturally curious.
The beer-based beer from Puntigamer is not really beerier than its peers. Rather, the point is that this creation is a real, down-to-earth brew without any frills, special ingredients or crazy flavors. The beer-based beer is a creation of water, hops, malt and yeast and tastes exactly like that. No special treatment, no yuzu.
Stylistically, the brewers have stuck to the classic light beer and created a brew that conjures up a tasty balance between mild malt and slightly bitter hops in the glass. The drink has a pleasant 5.1% alcohol content and comes in a clear pale gold. If you are looking for a no-frills thirst quencher, you have come to the right place.
