A beer for big boys. And girls.
The French brewery La Débauche has a huge range of exciting and varied beers. Creative and unique labels hide hoppy masterpieces and Big Boy, the newest horse in the stable of the brasserie from Angoulême, is also a beer that is worth seeing. The Chili Imperial Stout impresses with a strong 12.0% alcohol content and a whole lot of flavor.
The dark beer flows into the glass in the color of liquid mahogany and is crowned by a small, slightly tinted foam. A majestic scent of roasted malt, hot chili, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate, freshly ground coffee, spicy licorice and creamy caramel fills your nose and makes you look forward to the first sip. The initial drink reveals a voluminous beer with wonderful alcohol warmth that warms you up from the inside out. In terms of taste, Big Boy impresses with its full-bodied, dark aromas. Chocolate-covered fruits meet buttery caramel, roasted malt and freshly brewed mocha on the palate. A spicy hint of chili and winter spices round off the aromatic play. The revolutions are extremely elegantly integrated into the many flavors. A tangy carbonation ensures a creamy, smooth mouthfeel and gives the beer a nice lightness that wonderfully balances the intense, dark flavors.
A wonderful imperial stout and another banger from La Débauche.
