Franky is a tasty barley wine from Monyo and is traded in the brewery as the beer with the most complex and intense character. The fine beer is characterized by its strong alcohol content and the even stronger aroma. To top off beer enjoyment, the brewers decided to refine Franky with additional storage. The fine beer matures to its full splendor in the course of this storage and develops from a top beer to a real beer specialty.
Franky 2019 is the vintage version of the barley wine and has been maturing since 2019. Like exquisite wines, many beers get better and better over time and gain character, taste and intensity. The filling in champagne bottles gives the beer the finishing touch and represents the exclusive content appropriately.
The 2019 version of Franky already impresses with its appearance: Franky flows into the glass in shimmering copper mahogany and adorns itself with a hazelnut brown veil. A seductive scent of fruit bread, caramel and raisins pickled in rum makes you excited about the taste of the dark beer. The initial taste reveals a powerful body with warming alcohol notes, which are cleverly integrated into the complex interplay of aromas. Full-bodied malt notes caress the palate with aromas of toffee, dried red fruits, candied stone fruits and roasted nuts.
